これはスティグラーの近著。一章から五章までが統計と社会科学の話に当てられている。第一章が（カール）ピアソンvs.ケンブリッジ学派（マーシャル、ケインズ、ピグー）みたいな話しなのを見て、即買い。前著は何か堅苦しそうだったから手に取らなかったが、これは一章一章がお話のようで、非常に読みやすそう。*1
